EFCC Arrests Former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha

                                                         According to LIB:

"Former Imo State Governor and Senator, Rochas  okorocha has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.

Officials of the Commission laid siege to the former Governor's private office at Nkwerre Street in Garki area of Abuja and picked him up shorttly after he returned from a trip today April 13.

EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the arrest to The Nation but did not give reasons for the action"

According to LIB - " To commemorate Nigeria’s Democracy Day, President Buhari will broadcast to the nation on Friday, June 12, 2020, at 7am.   A statement from Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, asked Television and radio stations, as well as other electronic media outlets, to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.    Nigeria’s Democracy Day was formally celebrated every May 29, the day Nigeria returned to democratic rule in 1999. However, in 2019, President changed the Democracy Day to June 12 in honour of the June 12, 1993, presidential election and its winner, Moshood Abiola, who died in prison."
