45 Northern Youths Have Been Arreted By Amotekun For Allege Plan To Undergo Military Training In Ondo State.

 


Not fewer than 45 Northern youths have been arrested by the men of Ondo State Security Network, The Amotekun for allege plans of coming to Ondo to undergo military training.

The Northern youths wre said to have been loaded in a truck journeying for military training before they got ntercepted in front of the Okitipupa Army Barracks by The Amotekun at about 10pm on Thursday and were taken to Akure,the state capital.

"The Amotekun corps arrested the fulani youths who were loaded in a trailer in front of the army barracks. As the Amotekun corps accosted them, some of them jumped down from the vehicle and ran away into the town but about 45 of them were arrested.

Whwn they were interrogated, they said they were sent from the North to come and undergo military training in the barracks. After that, the Amotekun corps took them away from the town." - a source said


The State Commander of the corps,Cheif Adetunji Adeleye confirmed the arrest and said investigation as commenced, according to Thisday 

In his words "We have commenced investigation into the matter."

The Chairman Okitipupa Local Government ,Mr. Igbekele Akinrinwa in his address to resident of the area said that it was an indigene of the town that facilitated the travellers trip to the town and that the said person have been apprehended by the state Amotekun,while urging residents to remain calm.
