Kaduna House of Assembly fight over mace after impeaching Deputy Speaker (video)

After the impeachment of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly and swearing a new one,some members of the house engaged in a battle of fist.

The fight ensued after Hon. Liman Dahiru ,the lawmaker representing Makera Constituency broke into the floor of the Assembly and siezed the mace but before he could leave the complex ,he was grabbed by the Sergeant at Arm while other members quickly rushed in to retrieve the mace from him.

According to LIB - " To commemorate Nigeria’s Democracy Day, President Buhari will broadcast to the nation on Friday, June 12, 2020, at 7am.   A statement from Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, asked Television and radio stations, as well as other electronic media outlets, to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.    Nigeria’s Democracy Day was formally celebrated every May 29, the day Nigeria returned to democratic rule in 1999.
