N31M Teachers’ Salaries Allegedly Shared By Kwara NUT Chairman, Perm Sec– EFCC The Ilorin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has uncovered how the sum of N31m meant for the payment of teachers’ salaries was allegedly diverted by the Chairman of Kwara State Nigerian Union of Teachers, Salihu Idris Toyin, and the Permanent Secretary of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Bayo Audu Onimago, among others. The money allegedly shared by the suspects, according to the EFCC, Media and Publicity, Mr. Dele Oyewale, was meant for the payment of over 400 teachers working with the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board. Other beneficiaries in the said money, the statement added, include the Director of Finance, SUBEB, Ahmed Husain, the State Coordinator of the Nigerian Union of Teachers, Tijani Idris, the Controller of Finance of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Omole John. 39.4 million Nigerians might be unemployed by the end of 2020 - Vice President Osibanjo

Vice President Yemi Osibanjo has revealed that 39.4m Nigerians might be out of jobs before the end of 2020 according to the projections received by the economic sustainability committee. Vp Osibanjo disclosed this while presenting the committee's report to President Muhammadu Buhariu on Thursday June 11,said ithe National Bureau of Statistics also projects that the country would have a revenue shortfall of N185 billion monthly with oil prices at $30 a barrel. In Osibanjo's words; “Several projections, including those done by the NBS on behalf of the economic sustainability committee, showed a severe downturn in our oil earnings, as a result of which, even with oil price at $30 a barrel, we would still have a shortfall of about N185 billion every month, in the amount available for allocation to the three tiers of government.  “That unemployment may rise to 33.6 percent or about 39.4 million people by the end of 2020 if we fail to take prompt preemptive measures; that millions mo...

A lady named Ebele Muogbo a.k.a Lighthouse Beacon who accused a one time school mate,Femi Olidi, who is about-to-wed of rape as been charged to court alongside her friend Mark Anthony Osuchukwu. According to LIB Ebele was accused of making similar allegation in 2015 and 2017 despite engaging in consensual sex with iFemi Oloidi, who is now a lecturer at the University of Nigeria,Nsukka. Covid-19 update : Kaduna State Government shots down private school for violating quarantine order

Kaduna State government have shot down and revoked the licence of a private school, the Future Leaders International School for violating lock down order. The school's licence was revoked and shot down because it conducted entrance examinations in the premises of the school as against the state's lock down order. @GovKaduna shares on her official page "KDSG has closed Future Leaders International School and revoked its licence to operate. The school opened and conducted entrance exams contrary to the provisions of the Quarantine Order, which directed all schools ,both public and private ,to remain closed"

One of the suspected rapist and killer of Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa has been apprehended by men of the Nigerian Police,attached to the Edo state police command.
