Rotary Club Presents Distinguished Personality Award to Senator Rafiu Ibrahim
In recognition of his excellent humanitarian service to his community and humanity in general.
 
The Rotary Club of Ilorin Metro on Friday, honoured former Kwara South lawmaker, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, with a distinguished personality award.
 
Senator Rafiu was presented the award at the installation ceremony of the 8th President of the Club, Rotarian Youssef Toluwase Sanders PHF+2 at Princess Luxury Hotel, Ilorin, Kwara State.
 
The outgoing president of the Rotary Club of Ilorin Metro, Rotarian (Dr) Khadijat Toyin Musah and the newly installed President, Rotarian Youssef Toluwase Sanders appreciated the former lawmaker for his support and partnership with the club in its community development service. 
 
Former Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development in Kwara State, Hon. Muideen Alalade who received the award on behalf of the Senator, appreciated the Rotary Club for the honour. 
 
He also applauded the club for its contributions to community development within and outside Kwara State, while noting that Senator Rafiu was always happy and ready to partner with bodies such as the Rotary Club to further expand his community and humanitarian service to the people. 
 
In his remark, the Royal Father of the occasion, HRM (Dr) Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, LAMINISA l, the Timi of Ede Land, prayed God to continue to bless the club as he attested to the numerous community services of the Rotary Club. He equally appreciated Senator Rafiu Ibrahim and all other donors for their support for the club and also sought support for the new Trailblazer President, Rotn. Youssef Sanders.

One of the suspected rapist and killer of Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa has been apprehended by men of the Nigerian Police,attached to the Edo state police command. According to LIB "LIB reported edarlier that the 22-year-old 100 level student of the University of Benin,Edo state was raped and killed reading in a church in Benin city.
