Photos - Five Residents Of Abuja Arrested Over False Claim Of Contacting Coronavirus
Five residents of Abuja have been arrested over false claim of contacting the deadly coronavirus disease.
They were paraded by the police of the Federal Capital Territory for invading the Wuse General Hospital with false claims of contacting Coronavirus.
DSP Anjuguri Manza,the Command Public Relations Officer paraded the suspects before newsmen and their names were given as Peggy Shandi (M), Abayomi Adedoyin (M),David Gold Enemigin (m) Priscilla Ajesola (F) and Jacob Oji (M),
"the suspects claimed to be playing a script about the virus without the knowledge or authorization of the relevant authorities of FCT." - Manza
One of the suspects Peggy Shandi claimed that their action was just a mere prank about the virus.
"investigation into the activity of the suspects is ongoin and on the conclusion the suspects will be charged to court" - Manza
