"Partying and Spending Lavishly on my birthday is not my Priority" Alabi Aishat Tells IGS Students

As part of birthday celebration of our very own sister, Miss Alabi Toyin Aishat (Alive) who marked her birthday on the 12th of January 2020, joined the students of Iketa Grammar school, Osi to celebrate her birthday, where she is working as Computer Science teacher under Kwara State SUBEB.

"Good day ladies and gentlemen,
once in a year, every individuals have the opportunity to celebrate his/her birthday. This makes me feel honoured and elated as I'm a year older yesterday. Though, for most people, they usually overwhelmed in celebrating their birthdays by throwing parties, spending on Wins and other pleasure things to make their day. but for me, I figured it out that throwing birthday party would be a huge money spending without adding any value." Aishat stated.

I'm celebrating my special day to make my student's day special, even more memorable by donating writing materials for them and pay some selected students PTA fees for this Term, in a bid to relief the burdensome shoulder on their parents/ guardians.

The reason for this gesture is that, I am a product of this school "Iketa Grammar School, Osi” and as a staff of IGS. In addition to that, I valued the stress parents and guardian are usually passing through to send their children to schools. As we all know that education is the key.

In her remark, the principal of Iketa Grammar school, Osi, Mrs D.M Olu ably represented by her VP, Mrs V. F Ayeni appreciated the celebrant Alabi A.T for her to deemed it fit to brought the books and stationaries with the either of paying some selected students school fees to marks her birthday.

The school principal urged other youths to emulate Aishat for kindness and her heart of giving out for the development of her younger ones. She prayed for the celebrant to live long for her to fulfill God's promises in the land of living.
